Vision

“We are blessed to live in God’s country. It is our duty to protect it. I will be a voice for limited government and a safe and prosperous future.”

- Marquis Laude

Public Safety

People from all over the country and around the world are fleeing high crime areas and high inflation and moving to Flathead Valley to enjoy its beauty, safe communities, and economic stability. While we welcome newcomers, we must be prepared to keep our community safe.

  1. Prioritize resources for law enforcement

  2. Increased population in detention centers causes problems for staff, inmates and infrastructure. We must expand capacity in our current detention facilities while still maintaining the safety of Correctional Officers and those incarcerated.

  3. Reduce the rate of recidivism (the tendency of a convicted criminal to re-offend) by supporting implementation of drug court, in custody programs, and targeting of youth education programs such as School Resource officers, further helping to reduce overcrowding.

  4. Protect our children, families, communities, and our state against cyber attacks.

Economy

As a small business owner, I know firsthand what it is like to struggle to make payroll, feel the pain of inflation, and go months without being paid. I am a fiscal conservative and know how to balance budgets. I will fight to:

  1. Lower taxes

  2. Property tax reform: Appraisals and tax estimates are too high. This burdens homeowners and families just trying to live the American dream. Marquis will be a leader in finding a solution to keep property taxes low in the long run.

  3. Reduce burdensome regulation

  4. Cut wasteful spending

Education

With the population growing, we must provide high-quality education to everyone so that the next generation stays here. I will advocate for:

  1. School choice

  2. Charter Schools

  3. Trade schools

  4. Parental Rights

Providing more choice when it comes to education allows more opportunities for the future leaders of our great state.

The Second Amendment

When I served in the military I took an oath to defend our Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and will protect our right to keep and bear arms.
