“I’ve dedicated my whole life to law enforcement and security.”

- Marquis Laude

Soldier and Law Enforcement Officer

Marquis grew up on a dairy farm just outside of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Service was in his heart and at 17, he joined the Army to serve our country, entering a career in law enforcement. During his time in the Army, Marquis worked as an undercover narcotics agent in Germany and then as a protective service agent. Marquis retired from the service in 1992.

Small Business Owner

After his time in the service, Marquis worked for an engineering company that handled security systems around the world. When a security project led him to the Flathead Valley at the Hungry Horse Dam, Marquis fell in love with Montana. He decided to stay put and start his own business right here, Integrated Security Solutions.

Marquis has helped install security systems at the Hoover Dam, the Vandenberg Air Force Base, the presidential palace in Kabul, Afghanistan, and locally for the Hungry Horse Dam,  Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, Evergreen Fire Station and Glacier High School.

Rancher

Marquis now owns 15 Friesian horses — two of which are new and a mother-son pair named Princess and Zeus — and is heavily involved in the Friesian Horse Association of North America, where he chairs the member council and the inspection committee. Laude also enjoys his time raising cattle and flying his airplane.

Volunteer in the Community

Marquis was instrumental in the success of the Flathead County Sheriff's Posse program. He ensured the continued training and teaching of all members. Participating extensively in Community programs allowed him to develop and maintain relationships through open and candid dialogue with a variety of community leaders and organizations. He has been volunteering with the Sheriff’s Posse for over 20 years, and as a Reserve Deputy for 6 Years.

For almost 15 years, Marquis was responsible for the Flathead County Equine Team with his horse Pedro.

Marquis currently supports the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office by sitting on promotion boards, hiring boards as well as teaching. Marquis teaches firearms, taser training, law, use of force and ethics.
